I was 38 when I met my biological dad and that day (8/2002) I had no ideal who he was. I told my mother about him. She said he was someone she use to hang with when we live in the projects. The very first paragraph grabbed my interest. I can certainly relate to the statement, "women and rain don''t mix." I curled up on my couch and read the story of Serena Jasper�s life. I felt her anger as she discovered the truth about her father, and I felt her pain when her mother died. I felt hopeful every time she turned to the Almighty to strengthen her through her challenges. I just finished reading Speak to My Heart. It is wonderful! I will tell others about it but am not borrowing out my copy - I want to keep it! My Mom and I are close...and today she was admitted to the hospital - probably with pneumonia...so you can see why it came sort of close to home. Your writing spoke to my heart in several ways...
